There's a bit of history with this old kit - My Dad (God rest 'is sould and all that) Scrimped and saved to buy it me when I started gigging seriously way back in about 1985. I'd lusted after this kit in all it's glory in the showroom at Barratt's music shop on Oxford Road in Manchester, where I worked on Saturdays. The kit had been a 'hire kit' to the BBC (whose studios were just up the road). It was used as part of the 'Record Breakers' kit for Cozy Powell, when he broke the record for hitting the most drums in one minute! Many other famous players have used (and mimed!) it on TOTP and other programmes.

I'm tempted to keep this, because it truly is a beautiful piece of art, but it's probably one kit too many for my garage right now. Sounds lovely!
